Get Comfy
Make the studio a comfortable and relaxed place. You will be able to get your best takes if you are relaxed and can focus on the emotion of the song.

Drummers Know When To Warm Up
The engineer will give you plenty of time to warm up after the kit is miked up. Please do not play while the engineer is miking the kit. An engineer’s most valuable piece of equipment is his ears. The engineer’s ears need to be fresh when he is trying to dial in your drum sound.

Check Your Tuning Often
Frequently check your guitar and bass tuning, even if you think its fine. You should check your tuning before every take.

Track Easier Songs First
Track the easier songs first, then as your warmed up and more relaxed the more challenging ones will come easier.

Take Breaks When Needed
If you need a break for any reason, by all means take one. Certainly if you need a break or you need a drink then don’t hesitate to call a temporary halt.
